Columbia Gorge Loop Drive –

This drive will take us up over Mt. Hood for a photo-op with the mountain. Then we will hit some back roads on the way east, ending up in The Dalles for lunch. The afternoon brings us some fun driving on climbing twisties as we make our way back down the Gorge to Portland.

SATURDAY, JUNE 19 – 5-3/4 Driving Hours & 283 Miles


We will make our departure from east Portland and head up I-5 through Carver and Sandy before we hit Hwy. 26. Then it is up to Government Camp for a stop before heading around the mountain for our photo-op.

Leaving here, we will get in a few twisties and then backroads to The Dalles.

Everyone will be on their own to get lunch before we regroup and jump across to the Washington side of the Columbia.

At White Salmon we will start our loop up over the plateau and the great climbing twisties on the Glenwood-Goldendale Highway.

Then it is back down some more twisties through Klickitat and back to Hwy. 14.

We will make our way down the Gorge, crossing into Oregon at the Bridge of the Gods.

After a short stint on I-84, we will exit to enjoy the historic scenic highway.

We will head up to Crown Point and the Gorge overlook.

Then it is on down through Troutdale and back to Portland.

Note:This is the Oregon S2000 Owners Forum. As such, our drives are exclusively for S2000s and their owners in Oregon and S.W. Washington.

Our drives are not open to the general public, which includes those who used to own an S2000, hope to own one, those with similar cars, or those who think the drive we've put together sounds fun and would like to tag along, etc.
