Default ScienceofSpeed Sport Clutch update

By popular request, we are now including a clutch alignment installation tool with our ScienceofSpeed Sport Clutch. The Sport Clutch, introduced nearly a year ago, has grown to become one of our most popular items for the S2000.

Since 2002, ScienceofSpeed has been selling and installing various aftermarket clutches for the S2000. In our experience, aftermarket clutches have often had too stiff pedal pressure or too harsh of engagement. By testing pressure plate and clutch designs, ScienceofSpeed has developed a clutch that offers a factory like pedal pressure and smooth engagement.

Compared to other similar aftermarket clutches for the S2000, the ScienceofSpeed Sport Clutch offers superior drivability, increased performance with out the heavy pedal, and superior quality compared to other Chinese made aftermarket clutches. When comparing other clutches, please keep this point in mind: There are some very significant differences between the components utilized in the ScienceofSpeed Sport Clutch and other aftermarket clutches. In our experience, the Chinese components used in other manufacture's aftermarket clutches have been inconsistent (clamping force varying 20+%) and visible short cuts in materials, design, and assembly have been evident. Using high quality Japanese made components, including the disc sourced from Honda's original equipment manufacture, we are able to use the highest quality components available. The slight increase in cost of using these high quality components is by far justified due to the expense involved in removing and replacing a clutch in the S2000.

Despite the superior quality, you will find our clutch to be very moderately priced compared to others available. The ScienceofSpeed Sport Clutch is a plug and play complete unit including clutch, OEM release and pilot bearings, and now the clutch alignment installation tool for a simple installation.
