USA-Spec iPod adapter installed.. box mounting?

Default USA-Spec iPod adapter installed.. box mounting?

ok so i installed my usa spec ipod adapter to my car but wanna know where did u guys end up mounting the box, because i doesnt look like theres any room behine the radio cause the airbag module is right under the radio.... lmk where some people ended up mounting it thanks.

I just put it in the little mesh pocket. Granted thats just a temp install(got car, installed and left on a trip) So, I didn;t have much time. But, its worked well there. I may look for another spot down the road, but in no rush right now.

theres plenty of space to mount it behind the panel in front of the passenger's knee

I was able to pick one up on ebay for $80. The sound is very good - better than I expected.

Sometimes it acts a little funny, like changing the settings on my iPod. But overall I'm happy with it. Someday I might go to a new HU, then I'll just sell the Spec and likely get what I paid for it.

I cant decide if i should get a head unit or pick this up. All i want to do is play my ipod.

I installed the box behind the airbag module in the radio cavity and ran the extra cables to the right behind the dash. All you see is the ipod cable running out to the right, and I keep it wound up in the mesh pocket when I'm not using it.

It works great for me, you just have to remember to plug in the ipod before turning on the ignition. Sounds great, and I like the different play options.
