Why not a used import? May be 1k or so cheaper as I am sure the owner would pass on some of the savings they made to the next person.

Just wondering about the mindset of the buyer, that's all.

I would be very interested in an import apart from the fact that i'm only 22 and as soon as i mention "import" my insurance doubles!

oh, that's a whole different thread, been there and argued that.

Tesco are good and see no difference either way, good hunting.

Steve, be empatic that its a full UK spec car as opposed to a true import. There are major differences.
As long as its full UK spec, it shouldn't make a difference to your insurance (unless they're being particularly silly).

Steve,

I think you'll find Gdowsett's has gone. Mine is available ideally mid September. Here's a few pics and then some narrative:

OEM extras include: aeroscreen (was not standard on '99), front spoiler, wheel spats, rear spoiler; CD boot changer; mats and nets. CAT1 Alarm as fitted by Honda. Tracker fitted. I can also let you have the scarf that protects the rear window when down. I think the black is the best suited to the body trim parts and it looks meaner and certainly gets lots of comment.

All essential warrantee work has been done (clutch buzz, alloys) plus UK alignment geom. I have not had any mechanical or engine gremlins (touch wood) and this is now a very nicely run in package. New S02 tyres all round at 31,000 miles.

In a few weeks I am having a few minor paint blemishes and chipmarks seen to. And I just might have a go at Honda to get the CAT1 alarm fob to operate the rear boot opening as per spec. (up 'til now I didn't have a manual and was content to use the key or Honda lock fob to open the boot).

I plan to use Autotrader and Exchange&Mart web sites and blitz it, probably 2nd week of September so I can drop in to/from SuperMeet2 to vary my route away from Spaghetti Junction! Then I can fit in the 36,000 mile service and she's yours with 2 months still on warrantee.

Reason for sale: new S2000 replacement at 3 years coming ...
Give me a shout (PM, post here, whatever) if you want to talk.

Cheers,
Rog
