I was just changing my oil, luckily i have one of those magnetic plugs..
this was attached to the end of it

Can someone identify it for me? I was thinking oil squirter bolt, but mine were changed to the 4 hole kind.

My car has been driving OK.. Im hoping I dodged a bullet with this one. Dont really wanna have to drop the pan right now.

I found a post by Billman showing it taken out
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...5&#entry9526402

Bill actually changed mine a few months ago, I guess the bolt was a little loose in the one he gave me.

Well at least I dont have to drop the pan now

its this piece... If I take the TCT out, is it gonna fall apart on me? I was thinking I can just screw the little bolt back in. Anyone know the torque spec?

OK heres my second question...

I took the TCT out.. when I go to put that little banjo bolt back in, im guessing the holes should line up with the hole on the side of the TCT. But if i tighten it all the way down the hole barely matches up, basically it would restrict most of the oil flow. Do I tighten all the way down, or do I just do it enough that the holes match up? I dont want it to fall out again lol

Billman was nice enough to call me, but hes on a cruise & we couldnt really hear each other.

In the Helms manual, it tells you what you need to do before removing the TCT from the head. There is a cover on the outside of the TCT that you pull off if I remember correctly. Then you pull the little service screw out in the TCT thats under that cover. Once this is out, you have to get a long threaded screw with the same threads as the screw you just pulled and put a nut on it. Screw that screw into the TCT until it bottoms out and then tighten the nut thats on the screw. As you tighten this nut, it will pull the spring and plunger back into the TCT and hold everything in place. Now remove the two bolts that hold the TCT to the head and remove the TCT. These same instructions are all in the Helms manual and it's the correct way to do it and is easy.

As for putting the TCT back in, with the TCT still off the head and the "holding screw and nut" holding things together, remove that screw and nut. the plunger will come out more than likely at this time. Just take a wrench at the end of the plunger and screw it in CW and push on it until you get it back down close to where it needs to be and hold it with quite a bit of pressure with your thumb or something that will hold it. At this time, you can take a very small allen key and slip it into the little holes to hold the plunger in place. Next, just put the TCT back on the head and tighten it back down. Now, put that service screw back into its spot on the TCT and put the cover back on and tighten it down. Remove the front little port cover and pull the allen key out with some needle nose pliers. At this time the plunger will make a snap noise as it hits the chain guide. Again, all this is in the Helms manual.

Tighten till the holes line up.. Those two punches near the threads on the tensioner case were suposed to prevent this from happening, so you need to repunch in another area IMO.
I'd honestly just throw a new tensioner in, there only 125 or so.
