Alright, flame all you want, but I decided that this would be fun and a bit interesting. Also before anyone says it, I am NOT getting paid to do the review or getting a refund on anything. Basically just in it for the fun and to prove to myself whether the whole "ebay turbo kits are garbage" is true or not. I will be doing a review on one of the cheap ebay turbo kits. I did pick one that at least had a name tied to it though. Now to keep this focused on how the kit itself is I have chosen to buy all other parts that are considered as quality. Now the kit was only $789.99 shipped. Even cheaper than the GODSPEED kit. Here is the link to the kit:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...e=STRK:MEWNX:IT
Seller = speedyracer-honda
Kit maker = EMUSA

Now one thing that was interesting is that there is a website printed on the sticker stuck to the turbo. The website on the turbo itself is

http://emusaautomotive.com/
Domain Name: EMUSAAUTOMOTIVE.COM
Registrar: 1 & 1 INTERNET AG
Whois Server: whois.schlund.info
Referral URL: http://REGISTRAR.SCHLUND.INFO
Name Server: NS57.1AND1.COM
Name Server: NS58.1AND1.COM
Status: ok
Updated Date: 03-nov-2009
Creation Date: 02-nov-2007
Expiration Date: 02-nov-2010

Pretty bland site... Hosted by

OrgName: 1&1 Internet Inc.
OrgID: 11INT
Address: 701 Lee Rd
Address: Suite 300
City: Chesterbrook
StateProv: PA
PostalCode: 19087
Country: US

Now to add to that... There is another different website on the box that the turbo is in.

http://emotorusa.com
Domain Name: EMOTORUSA.COM
Registrar: DIRECTI INTERNET SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD. D/B/A PUBLICDOMAINREGISTRY.COM
Whois Server: whois.PublicDomainRegistry.com

Which leads back to the same server as the other site. Nothing out of the ordinary there really. Now the emotorusa site has a bit more info...

Seems they do tuning as well. Didn't know this company was based so close to where I lived when I first bought the kit. This might actually turn out halfway decent...

Once I get this on and tuned I might have to drive up there and check the shop out just to see what it is like.

These parts are all going on a stock 04 AP2 with about 83000 miles on it. Car runs great. Other parts going on the car will include:

Walbro 255 fuel pump
ID1000s
Invidia 70mm test pipe
Innovate LC-1 wideband
Dynotune square A/F ratio gauge
Greddy Emanage Ultimate
Greddy Pressure sensor
Greddy A/F target harness
R&D Factory oil pan baffle plate
1 PLX DM-100 OBD gauge
1 PLX DM-100 gauge
SOS dual A-pillar gauge pod
CF cooling plate
Oil filer relocation kit

Maybe a few other things, but I don't remember, if I do remember I will post up. So on to the pics... (if you want more pics just ask).

First up will be all the little bits. The kit comes with 3-ply silicone couplers. Seem decent enough, guess I will just have to see how well they seal.

Next are the clamps, funny how the Greddy kit comes with screw clamps and this one T-bolt clamps. One thing that does sorta suck is that some of the clamps got a little crushed by the turbo manifold.

Oil feed and drain with fittings... Looks alright. One thing that I will change is that there isn't an oil restrictor. I will add one of those before I start it up.

Now some of the cheapest looking and feeling parts. The manual boost controller and Type RS BOV with vac hoses. Vac hoses seem like good ones, thicker and heavier than you get at Autozone (they are silicon as opposed to rubber). Manual boost controller and BOV feel like cheap crap though. Super light pot metal is what it honestly feels like. These will probably get replaced with the quickness.

Next is the wastegate. Pretty heavy feeling. Not nearly as cheap feeling in your hand as the BOV. If I have any issues I will probably replace it with a Tial.

Cast manifold, I actually thought it was a RevHard manifold from the pic in the auction. Seems that it is pretty much the same thing, just re-branded. Pretty hard to mess something cast up so I figure this will do.

And on to the turbo... No shaft play at all, spins freely. That is not a scratch on the exhaust impeller, it looks like some kind of marking paint.

Also came with intercooler and charge pipes, but I didn't take pics of them. They are all pre-bent and have a lip on them to help them seal. Some of them are different sizes though and some with a pretty small ID, these will probably be replaced down the line too. Also the DP is 2.5" with 1 O2 sensor bung welded in. No bung plug though.

So there it is... Can't wait to see how it runs, but I won't start installing the kit until I get the oil pan tapped and baffled. Still waiting on the baffle to come in the mail.

No flaming here, you are a hero IMO because you have the guts to test the product instead of just bashing them. I'm excited to see how well it runs,

Could be an adventure it sounds like

Maybe going this rout is like a payment plan, you hook everything up, and after two weeks you start the process of replacing each component as needed with an upgraded one until you have a whole new kit, and by then its paid for and you've had the fun or torture (depending on how you look at it) of getting to use the kit wile making payments

That's actually sorta how I have looked at it. That is one reason I got something like this over the Greddy kit. From what I have read that kit is a PITA to upgrade. Not mention it was only $800. One thing that I noticed once I got done posting was that there wasn't an exhaust manifold gasket... DOH!

I've taken my header off a dozen times and never replaced the stock gasket and it still doesn't leak. I wouldn't worry about it.
