I've been thinking of changing the dates for DBRX...our 10th Annual DragonBall Run event.

There's a couple of reasons for this. #1 reason being the West Coast gathering of "Homecoming II" which is in Torrance, California on the same original weekend, September 25th.

In addition to this consideration...S2KCA will be holding their annual "S2K Days" in Asheville, NC in August from the 5th-8th. That date doesn't necessarily interfere with our original date...but I feel if we push the date up too much, it won't give folks who want to do both much of a recovery period.

DBRX marks quite a milestone for us. 10 years of running the Dragon...and 10 years of organized Dragon events!

Review:
Keep it the original dates of September 23rd-26th
Potential conflict - Homecoming II in California
Change it to September 16th-19th
Other car group - SMART cars on the Dragon
Change it to September 9th-12th
Other group - Thunder in the Smokies Motorcycle Rally
Change it to September 2nd-5th
Potential conflict - close to S2KCA event based in Asheville (less than 30 days)
Change it to September 30th-October 3rd
No conflicts or groups - but may be later than some like

i wouldnt worry too much for the smart cars, unless they have a hayabusa motor in it

since the smart cars are so small, can they legally pass each other in the same lane? might be the one and only advantage, but boy that would be helpful on the dragon...

I voted for the original dates; my only concern with a later date is that you're getting into leaf-changing season and there will probably be more "leaf peepers" than enthusiasts out and about.

 

I voted the 16th just cause I'm ornery.

 

If I can make it this year, I'm cool with any date but the motorcycle rally weekend
