05 NFR w/ Tan Resurrection/ STR Build Photo Diary
I picked up the theft recovered 05 NFR from reebs a few weeks ago and since I sold my old car I finally had the funds to seriously put this car back together. I would first and foremost like to thank reebs for helping me get the car back home. You went out of your way again and again to make sure that I got home safe. Thanks to everyone who have worked so hard to bring this beautiful car back to life instead of letting it get scrapped for parts.
The car will be built into a dual purpose STR Autox/HDPE and daily driver. I plan on installing a 4-pt Roll Bar and using Carbotech XP10/8 pads for the track and street pads for everything else. I will be swapping on a Comptech non adjustable 32mm Front Sway Bar and AP1 shocks with Swift springs until I decide on whether I want to go w/ KW V3 Coilovers. They will definitely help on the track but I will also be driving this to school everyday.

Here's what the front end looks like. I removed the hood for easier access to the engine bay and for better lighting. Also there were 2 small dents that I needed to remove. Took the fender off to fix 3 small dents. The radiator was bent out of shape slightly but I was easily able to straighten it out. I will need to cut off the old radiator support and weld a new one on. The windshield needs to be replaced but I got one made by PPG from a local shop for only $172 including tax.

Hey at least the wheels and tires fit perfectly! They are Tire Rack Motorsports C3 17x9 +62mm with 255/40ZR17 Kumho Ecsta XS tires all the way around since that's the max allowed in STR. Thanks to Jim@TireRack for the speedy service!

I ordered a 12x12 patch that I'm going to use on the outside. I know it's not the best looking but during the summer I leave the top off unless it's raining and during the winter I plan on getting a hard top so it's not the end of the world. Getting the car finished is way more important.

The dash is getting taken out because the gauge cluster and starter button harnesses were cut and I got a complete upper harness. This will make changing the windshield and interior easier.

Just a small selection of the parts that are going on there. Thanks to HornyPhil and Davgoat for spending countless hours gathering these parts for me. Both highly recommended!

Many thanks to 01spaS2K for meeting me in the middle of nowhere on such a short notice for the interior. I got a complete tan interior in mint condition and will be swapping the inserts onto door panels that HornyPhil sent to me.
