Attending WTD8 *REQUIRES* Registration
In recent years, we've had more and more instances of folks attending our WTD or DBR events unannounced (or, in some cases...announced but unwilling to pay registration).
Let me be clear. Attending _ANY_ of our planned events or activities requires registration. Everyone will be required to wear their lanyard and nametag at all times for any planned activities. Think of the 'ole NO SHOES, NO SHIRT, NO SERVICE...but as NO NAMETAG = NO ADMITTANCE.
Our car wash areas, Beer Swap, bon fire, banquet and general facility use is paid for by the registered attendees and anyone simply showing up to enjoy this event without registering won't be allowed.
Event staff will be on the lookout for this activity and if you are identified as an unregistered attendee, you will be asked to leave.
Furthermore, we will be scrubbing the list of registered attendees with reservations.
If you are not registered for WTD8, your Fontana lodging discount will _NOT_ be honored.
Our event fee is nominal when you consider all that you receive. I myself recently registered for an S2000 event where the registration fee was well over $100. When you consider the discount alone for lodging, registration comes to be less than $20~30.
It is important that we all work together to keep these events organized.
I ask that if you haven't registered and want to come to WTD8, please register NOW (click the banner in my signature below).
If you want to come to the Dragon during the event but you have NO intentions of registering, I urge you to steer clear from any of our planned activities. This includes but is not limited to our Beer Swap, Car Wash use, Friday dinner gathering, Saturday morning "Monster Roll-Out", group drives, private lunch gathering, group photo, bon fire gathering and Saturday night's dinner banquet.
I completely understand that the Dragon is a public road. However, WTD8 is a PRIVATE event.
Thank you.

While it is easy to point the finger at other people, I needed this. Only registered three out of five years attending. Straight talk, freeness of speech, etc.....
Congrats and kudos for your firm and aggressive position. I'm on board (and registered before this thread......
). Hopefully, the rest of the folks will applaud your stand.
