Honda in Japan!
Hi everyone, on day four of my 14 day trip to Japan.
Currently in Osaka, and making our way to Tokyo midway.
I have visited J's Racing yesterday, and it was awesome to see the cars up close and speak with the team about their tuning philosophy.
Here are some of my fav pics of that visit.
I will upload more pics as the trip continues.
Enjoy!
Very excited!!!
Out the front of the Garage.. Touge Machine
This car was purchased as a shell only form honda with no serial number, its seam welded - so no cage is necessary for stiffness. Then the rest of the parts are pretty much aftermarket, as there is not much left that is OEM. It runs a 2.2 litre engine, Motec 600, 4.44 final drive, Crux coilovers, 6 pot calipers etc.
J's circuit monster - does a 2:12 lap time if I recall correctly at Sukuka
Its total replacement cost is approx 20 million Yen. 360Hp is the rated power 2.4 litre ITB's, very high compression, and super light weight approx 1050 kilos! Carbon dash, carbon boot, bonnet, doors, FRP roof, carbon seat, carbon body kit etc.
I was not a widebody fan that much, and then I saw this baby...
My wife and I with Kazuo a really nice guy who gave us the tour of the garage and explained each car- he has a EP3 type R. The president who was there too has a 996 GT3 as a daily.
I ended up purchasing a few parts, including driveshaft spacers, antenna, rapfix bell, work boss, j's t shirt, J's radiator hose set, and steering stiffners.
I will update when we visit ASM Yokohama, Spoon Type ONE, and Toyota Museum

It is pretty much gutted, its just not as visible. There are no speakers, or radio, no aircon, no softtop, seam welding means no roll cage which saves the added weight, no airbags or srs sensors, titanium exhaust, carbon bodykit it would be very light.

Cool, how much were the spacers in AU$ from there?
When I visit Autobacs, and Crystal Auto I should find cheap parts.
