Default Big Brake Kit being fitted next week

As many of you know I have been exploring an alternative to the existing big brake kits that are currently available for the standard wheels.
Haroon put me on to Hi Spec Brakes who are relatively local to me at Dartford and a couple of months ago I contacted them to see what was available. They were very helpful and seemed eager to help with the issue so I took the car to them in order for them to lazer map the hub area of the car, as well as the inside profile of the standard 17's I have on the car.
A quick phone call the following day having transposed the data they told me that I could fit a 335 x 28mm front disk with either a standard 4 pot caliper or the larger monster 4 pots or monster 6 pots.
The limits of the different calipers were explained and whereas the standard 4 pot caliper they do would be more than adequate for NA cars based on fast road and occasional track, with the extra power from my blower I opted for the monster range! Again the 4 pot would be fine even including track days but for prolonged use I opted for the Monster 6's with my upcoming euro trip I forsee some fairly long driving days on some challenging roads.
The kit consists of Aluminium Bells, rotors, calipers, braided hoses, brake fluid, custom brackets and all fixings.
As this is the first kit they will be fitting it for me to ascertain what bolts etc are needed to ensure a complete package.
When I get the kit fitted next week I will be taking a 16 inch wheel with me so they can map the inside profile of that, so they will be able to offer a solution for the smaller wheels as well.
I will keep you informed and add some photos during the fitting etc.

I'm awaiting to hear the results as the OEM brake setup seems one of the weakest points of the car.

you say a 16" wheel - the 16" UK and JDM styles are very slightly different internally, so might be worth ensuring that Hi Spec know what type of wheel it is.

rob@garageR also said the same thing - brakes that fit JDM 16's may not fit UK 16's depending on design.
i believe JDM's have a larger area, so what fit UK should fit JDM, but not vice versa.

What pads are you fitting?

The friction co-efficient of the pad will make a huge difference in the feel of the stopping ability of the car, probably more so than anything else.

Your new brake kit will probably give you more pad pressure for less pedal pressure and will allow you to modulate that pressure more easily. But the right pad material will allow you to get closer still to the lock up point.

It will be the UK 16's that will get measured as I do not have a JDM one!
If what you say is correct this will be the best thing for both options.

Not orange unfortunately, I have opted for black to match the wheels! The bells and the calipers will both be black.
