Good things come to those who wait. My car custom rollbar has been started.

The first pic is in showing a partial interior disassembly. I will not be replacing the OEM bars or plastic hoops so I can retain a nice looking interior. The new bar has to work its way in and around all the interior components - and I have a 2002 so staying away from the non-foldable glass is also a design challenge.

As I get more pics I will post.

And ya gota luv it when you get an e-mail like this...

Hi Doug

I have measured for the hoop without and then with the hardtop.
I think I just uncovered a complication, The handles for the latches on the
hardtop swing where the bar needs to be.

I need to stare at it awhile and see if there is a way to work with this.
Thanks, Charlie-

Now I know there will be a solution, but right now I'm just hoping it is a visually appealing one. Time will tell. Safety is my main objective and will continue to be so.

I have known all along if I could come up between the back of the seat and the front of the OEM bars I could go tall. Tall is good because I really want the top of my helmet below that bar!

The Triple-H Rollbar is going to just about the best out there.
It will be a bolt in operation, it will fit below the hard & soft top, it should meet the broomstick rule, it will not cause the interior panels to be destroyed/removed, the OEM seat belt mounting points will be completely un-modified, it will be amazingly strong, it will have mounting points for 5-point harnesses, it will work in conjunction with the 2002 glass rear window and you should be able to see out the rear view mirror without trying to look through a solid metal pipe! The only drawback- this will not work if you must have your seats set all the way back. I'm so glad I'm 5'10.5"...
