Default Pics of the drive on Sept. 8th

Well,

I had a great time! Nice meeting all the new members. Thanks Luc for getting us the nice organized maps, and putting this all together.

Great picture spot on the water (or what's left of it). AuDD was brave enough to drive in the rain all the way home. I wussed out and put the top up. Anyone notice that performance sucks in that high of an elevation? I felt a immediate difference once I got down into Denver. Now for the pics...

Here's everyone at Mimi's cafe.

Made it up to loveland pass.

Nice twisties we encountered.

Here we are trying to get the cars lined up for the incredible shot.

What are these two looking at?

On the way home.

Kwando - you beat me to post pics. Looks like you encountered rain on I-70. It was beautiful on 285 no rain to speak of. I'll post some of my pics later.

Thanks to Luc - great job!

Ya, kudos to Luc for a well organized outing. Nice meeting the new folks and seeing those I've met before. My pics ain't so good (borrowed camera ) but Simon's look great. Getting back late from the Safeway had an unanticipated benefit in that I got top billing in the boat landing portrait. Makes up for missing the Loveland Pass shots. Damn ball-busting cop kept me sitting at the side of the road for about 30 minutes . One shot I wish I had captured was on the ride home when the cars were passing through a spread of fallen Aspen leaves and the golden leaves were swirling around the cars as each passed through. All in all, a great Sunday in the Rockies and we even had a rainbow waiting for us at the bottom of 285.

I think that the next time should be a track event. Possibly a BBQ at the track would be awesome.
