Default Anyone looking for an AP2 motor/ trans w/ 15K mi?

I'm thinking about parting out my entire AP2, and was wondering if anyone is looking for the motor and trans. It just hit 15K miles and is in superb shape. I'm thinking $3800 is fair for such a low mileage engine? If not give me your offer. Thanks.

What's the reason for parting out the entire car? Wrecked?

JEEBS pointed me in this direction. (THANK YOU!!!) Long story short my engine died due to starving on oil on the way back from VA beach just yesterday. I had it towed to Brown's Arlington Honda off lee highway. This is a HELL of a deal for that low of mileage considering my last one had 92k on it. I have an AP1 so assuming it will still work I am definitely interested. I'm working with my dad to get my car back on the road so I am mentioning this to him as we speak and see what he says.

You have a PM, related to the part out(not the engine).

I'm seriously considering parting it out because I can't get a title for it and I need to move. It's got a Florida Certificate of Destruction. Everything on the car's in mint shape. By the way is $3800 a fair price or is it asking too low or too high? I haven't seen any motors for sale with this low mileage before.

$3800 for motor and trans is a fair price, IMO. I paid $3k for an '05 motor with 23k on it in 2008.
