If you already buy your tires from Tirerack, use these links below when purchasing and S2KI gets a percentage of your order and it costs you the same. What can be better? (note: you must place the order online (not via phone) for s2ki to get a %).

I just finished my first season of Solo II, and my stock Bridgestone S02 tires are getting a little smooth. I raced at a chapter that has a street tire class so the S02s were great. But next year I intend to race at the Divisional level so its time to move up to race tires.

From what I see at the events the Hoosiers seem to be the most competitive. Can you advise me on the best tire to buy? What's the difference between the A3S03 and the R3S03? Also, it's my assumption I have to stick to the 16" rims in order to remain in the stock class. Is this so?

A is for Autocross, R is for Road Race.

Yea, to stay in stock the rim has to be the same diameter and width as stock w/ an offset of no more that 25mm (I think) different from stock.
