Default Which club near Waikiki to go?

Hey guys, first time in Hawaii. Staying in Waikiki and I'd like to hit up the club at least once before I leave Monday. Which place shud I check out and what are the dress codes? I prefer a place that plays Top 40s music and hip-hop. Thanks!

the royal hawaiian center has level 4... (probably the closest to a mainland club with the kind of music youre looking for)
waikiki trade center has zanzabar and the shack (shack is a local style bar with live local bands on the weekends)..
next to the trade center on kuhio street theres lotus...

all the above are in close vicinity to eachother, pretty much in the center of waikiki...

theres a more clubs outside of waikiki depending on the type of crowd your looking for (majority are asians)...

hope that helps a little...

dont forget senor frogs! if i recall correctly level 4 and zanzabar are now 18 y/o and up so you will run into teeny boppers trying to act like adults

dress codes are not fully enforced but most places no hats, um some gotta be collared shirts...i mean if youre going out to party you wanna look nice right

Thanks guys. Might check out Zanzabar if I have time. Their website looks like they play hip hop and top 40s music.

Just got back from Hawaii (stayed there for 3 months lol).

From the places I've gone with people these are what I'd suggest.

Clubs:
1. Ginza's
- If you like Asian girls, then I'd suggest this place. Gets crowded a lot.

2. Paparazzi
- Gets pretty crowded some nights, but definitely upbeat for the younger crowd.

3. Venus Lounge
- Lots of girls, don't go on Saturday (gay night). Beware of the midget in a wheelchair, he might just come up to you and call you a ****.

4. Level 4
- 18 and over, so lots of kids running around there, other than that it's nice.

5. The Shack
- Local place that hosts some good Hawaiian bands like The Green. Expect lots of moke action and chee huuu'ing.

6. Senor Frogs
- $1 drinks, but thats about it.

Think its like $15-30 for cover if your not on the list, not as bad as South Beach though.

Bars:
1. Tsunami's
- Nice atmosphere, lots of people normally. Interior is nicely done.

2. Kanpai
- Open bar that has a friendly staff, couple friends I know work there. Get a hello kitty shot.

3. Mai Tai's
- In Ala Moana and only place open past 9p I think. Cute waitresses, some moke action going on depending on the band. Really good if your with a group, otherwise everyone else will be with a group and not you.

That's all I can think of for now.

BTW don't find yourself in the gay bars.
