Hello Everyone:

First I want to say thank you for bringing a concept to reality! Starting the Philly Cruise Group, I never expected to have a minimum of 7 cars every time I wanted to hang out. So we might as well make it official as a group.

There are a few things I want to develop for the Philly Cruise Group that I will begin to post in this thread and keep updated with a status in this box.

1. I want to accomplish is get a centralized location for the photos that we take on our meets.
2. Also want to get my digital camcorder out and if anyone else has one, bring a passenger so we can start taping runs and I can develop DVD' on my Apple.
3. Then developing a website, which I can do, but will take me a little time because of time restraints.
::crossing fingers:: maybe get S2KI to host our site, since some other clubs from S2KI have their own space.
With the website, we can have group member bios with your name, handle, picture of you and your car. Also, we can archive our runs, pictures, etc.

I do also have a few requests:

1. Everyone go and purchase 2-way radio's from RadioShack. This will greatly increase communication between our cruisers when we are out on a run. Limit the worries of losing someone, and we can caution other drivers about potential dagers up ahead, etc. Some drivers already have this, I would like the rest of us (including myself) to catch up.

2. A change in name? Anyone have any good suggestions about changing "Philly Cruise Group" to something else, or stay the same?

3. Input from you guys. Throw me some suggestions.

Jay is from northern NJ and goes to Villanova. I guess you can just put Villanova like me. I'm not from Villanova, but that's where I live full time for school. ahhhh... finally feeling left out that you are inquiring now?? Look forward to you being at the next one Charlie. We have been doing these so often now that you really have little room to miss one. I guess I need to send my money in soon to S2KI to become a gold member and someone has to recommend me for community organizer, don't you think?

Hey, I'm jealous. I spent 16 great years in Philly and now i'm stuck here in Baltimore . I still go up to the "real city" 4 or 5 times a year to see the Flyers and sometimes even the Phillies.

Anyway, you guys have all the luck. If you don't mind a "southerner" in your group, I'd love it.
