Default what ECU i have?

My S is Euro "AP2".
of course it's still called AP1 but has F20C2 motor with DBW.

According to Hondata web site Flashpro part# FP-S2K-INT can be used
for "2006 + Europe S2000" with ECU part numbers PCX-G01 through PCX-G16.

So today i decided to remove the kickpannel (it's on the left side) to check y ECU part# - and what do i see?
no markings whatsoever

what do i do?

Underneath your avatar it says that you've got a 2007 S.

If it is a late registered 2006 car then your ECU should be a G12 or G13

If it is a 2007, then your ECU should be a G13 or G14

Or, if it is an early registered 2008 car your ECU should be a G15 or G16

If you do not want to take the ECU out, PM me your VIN number and I will tell you which one it is.

HTH

Chris.

Interesting Chris, I recall a post earlier in the year from an owner that had a car with an ECU outside of the Hondata given range, I didn't realise that these numbers were by date/age, do you know if there are other changes such as firmware revsions?

I know of two GT100 that have had Flash Pro's installed but assume being 2009 cars they are beyond G16.

A 2009 GT100 should have a G16 ECU.

It doesn't really matter. If you have an '07 model year than the Hondata for DBW systems should work. I don't want to say will because you never now what some monkey may have done at some point in the past. (I'm not suggesting you are a monkey)

It'll work. If it makes you feel better, tell the vendor what car you have. If you are buying from the UK you are protected by distance selling regulations anyway.

What are you trying to accomplish, by the way? What mods do you already have, or plan? If the car is mostly stock you will not see any real gains and are better spent using the money for something else.
