Default Charlotte NC Inspection

New S2K owner with tint that was probably legal in another state (SC) but not here. 27% was what was shot at the inspection station today. Anyone know someone or "that station" that passes? 27% could be 35% to the untrained eye

Btw, tint is the only fail on the inspection. I wouldn't be trying to pass a dead body in the trunk or OBD or something crazy lol just tint. Thanks in advance. I'll post up some pics later tonight.

03' Spa S2000
D2 Coilovers
JL 12, Alpine 500w amp
27%.... 35% tint
(list is just starting)

lol Shoulda coulda woulda...

Bump for a desperate inspection. Not liking the idea of peeling this tint off. At the same time, not liking riding around without the car titled and registered with another cars tag on temporarily.

Check out my noob pics on the introduction thread

Just go to a jiffy lube inspection station and offer the guy 10 bucks on the side if he will pass your windows?

I just looked it up on the internet under window tint laws of North Carolina an it says the 35% is the max the standard is 32% but if its no darker that 35% it shouldnt be a problem.

I would highly suggest you do not post any names or places in this thread, plenty of people can get in a lot of trouble and face big fines due to it. Use PM!

And they can actually fail you if you come in with windows down and pull the fuse and just say they don't work
