Could I have simply mis-connected one of my coolant lines when I put my engine back in the car to cause this?

If not then my problem must be in either my block or my sleeves because I have milled and pressure tested the head, and replaced the head gasket.

looks liek youre seafoaming it. does the fluid smell like burning coolant? if it is, it looks more like its coming in from the intake tract than an engine block leak (continuous steam, not pulses)

 

Yeah, what does it smell like?

 

check the lines in this area. it is possible to put a coolant line on a vac port on the intake.

you could have reversed the two hoses on the bottom.

The one with coolant should go to the IAC valve. the other one goes to the port on the side of the intake, the one pointing down.

 

pull your air cleaner boot off, open the throttle plate, look inside for coolant.

 

I will Check that tomorrow afternoon, but the other issues is that the engine oil is looking cloudy as if it has coolant in it. A mis-placed line wouldnt cause this would it? if thats all it is than that would be great, i will post back with what i find.

 

If those lines are crossed, it will suck tons of coolant into the engine. And yes it will get in your oil.

Ill bet the bank they are crossed. They can easily reach the wrong fitting.

 

thanks billman250, i will check that as soon as i go out to my garage, if thats all it is then that would be fantastic. If that is the case do you think i will see an immediate change, or will i have to drive it for a little while?

 

Billman250, you were correct and the lines were backwards. I am still trying to determine my "limp mode" problem but solving this one just saved me an engine break down, I owe you a beer. Thanks!

 

Now, is there some specific way i need to go from here on? Can I just drive it and allow it to burn the remainder of whats is left in the intake, and change the oil a couple times to flush the rest of the coolant out or do i need to take things off and clean them?
