If we really have a "glass diff", what can be done to make it stronger?

Can some of the gears in our be replaced w/ stronger ones? Should it be replaced all together? If so, what with?

I plan to Super Charge mine, so not blowing out my diff would be a plus

Uhm, I just saw this from Mike B @ Comptech. Only reassuring me that the diff must go, especially w/ a SC

[QUOTE]We have changed the design of the MAP sensor checkvalve. The original design apparently was affected by cold weather, much colder than we get here in California, and the diaphram wouldn't work properly. The new design(the larger checkvalve) has some of the internal features separated from each other and that's why it's larger.

The diff is definitely a concern, but IMO a bigger concern in the clutch. The clutch is a weak link in this equation.

I would love to know what the folks (ala Vaportrail) were doing to their cars that warranted having 1 or 2 new diffs.

Think 'clutch' if you blow your car...

Also, the clutch is a wear item and is Excpected to wear out.
I totally agree, Sev. I was just pointing out that the clutch will tank before the diff does...sure it's less $$$ to replace, but it's going to say bye bye before the diff will, especially if you drive the way that Krazik does!

Finally you and Krazik took a bold and smart move.

Pretending the problem does not exist is not the way to go as some are doing.

The way i see it though, why should we shell out cash for something Honda should have done better in the first place.

Like i said before, i don't encourage people to build a drag monster out of this car. I just want me and others to enjoy the car without thinking, as the rev described, like it is made out of glass.

I applaud you guys for trying to finally find a solution to this.
