Good times, I'd like to see what you would have got with only 1/4 tank of gas.

Hi!,

Just wondering how you guys are launching your car??? Cuz I have run a couple of times and can't do better than 14.52 sec at 96ish mph. My 60' are usually 2.3- 2.4, cuz I'm spininng most of 1st. but if I don't spin, I drop out of my powerband and bog. so any help would be great. I launch between 6500-7000 and hold steady throttle til the tires grab, then WOT.

Thanks in advance,
bo

I was launching about 6500 - 7000rpm also. I really think tire pressure has alot to do with a good launch. I was running 22psi. I only made 2 passes that night so I didnt try any lower than that. It might have hooked better with less, I dont know.

As far as I remember, I was just dumping the clutch and flooring it. No fancy stuff involved.

Ouch, 2.4 60 foot. I've found many a front wheel drive Neon's that have managed a 2.1. Thats the difference in your time right there. I have 0 experience with launching an S2K. (I get mine in january) but Launching my miata at 7K on almost Flat Autocross tires I could easily run under 2.0 60 foots.

A lot just depends on temp, tire inflation and the track itself. Scot
also had a nice run at 13.9.

I dropped my tires to about 26psi and was dumping it (nothing fancy for me either) at about 6500rpm.....

Have FUN!!!!!
