Default K&N Aircharger WOW!

Crazy fast!

I slapped on my aircharger in 2 hours and it was quite easy.
I am running 11.3 lb wheels , Denso Irridium plugs and an additional 70 lbs off the stock weight of the car.

I lost (Butt dyno) a tiny bit of pull on the low end but tripled what I lost at the top end!
It was a day and night difference when I got the charger on, so much that when I punched it the car torqued in the yaw mode.

I just have 3 words, ------------- FAB- U- LOUS! Ha! Ha!

The K&N aircharger requires zero drilling and fits very well. I took some foam tube insulation and cut it down the center and put additional insulation where there may be gaps ( between heat shield and engine bay ) to keep most of my air coming through the fender hole.
Go to search and punch in K&N aircharger and you will see pics of it.

I really think the light wheels , denso plugs , 70 more lbs off the car with the aircharger is a power package from haties!

In a couple weeks I will put on the Hydro pulley!

No way to get a Dyno? , sorry but I am a bit sceptical about it making a lot of difference.

Lost low-end torque? That sucks, cause with my Injen, I gained just as mucch low and mid range torque as I gained high-end.

I do not know for sure if I lost anything down low, it may be that my computer is resetting because since I have been driving it , low end and mid has improved.

Ley me wait a week and then I can be more specific.

bart2,

Do you have any other mods that can assist an air intake?
Have you lightened your car and how much do you weigh?

It may be that just the K&N on a stock car would not make a big difference by itself.

I noticed a significant gain just after I put the K&N on
