Default Zanardi races again!

http://www.ekartingnews.com/news/intl/0210...onacostory.html

" Sure, I'm disappointed, said Zanardi shortly after retiring, because engineers spent numerous hours in order to give me a suitable machine for my condition. The problem lies with the accelerator located on the steering wheel as well as the brakes, which leaves only the steering to feel the kart. On top of that, it has been many years I have not stepped (no pun intended!) in one of those racing devils, ". A true force of nature, he entered the event, like the hero he is, more or less to prove he is alive and well. And more than ever loved by racing fans !

VERY Cool. ya know, it might be a good way to get more handicapped systems into racing cars, and maybe into cars in the near future.

It's great to see him racing again. Maybe someday we will see rules that allow him to drive in CART or IRL. In any event, he surely will be remembered as one of the best drivers in history.

Don't forget, that is the price he paid to drive cars fast. He is lucky. He could have died. As much as it is good to see him again, it is a sad reminder to see him behind the wheel of a go-kart. But hell, go-karts are fun. He probably wondered why he had to get out when they changed the tires "Where are the factory guys?" "Are you sure these tires can take my weight?" "OK, where did you hide the other 9 cylinders?" "Theres supposed to be a trailer of girls. Where are they?"
