for those that don't have one, Have you got a ticket for not having one? What did you use to cover the holes?

A poll might give you better answer in this case.

You can get color-matched plugs from a dealer for a couple of bucks to fill the front license holes. My dealer gave me the plugs for my car in a bag with the owner's manual, so when I got home I promptly removed the front license bracket and put the plugs in. Looks great! Only had it a few weeks and no tickets yet, but I still have the dealer tags on so I could really just claim ignorance if stopped.

I just took mine off, after the arm-twisting I received from my friend who has an M roadster, and it looks so nice not to see that plate!

Plugs are made to fill the holes, see your dealer if you do not have them. When I bought my car new I insisted they put them in the glovebox because I knew they HAD to mount the front plate.

I got pulled over a few times in my CRX-Si when that had no front plate. I guess why I decided to give it a try is because my M roadster friend tells me he has gotten pulled over for speeding three times. Each time he was extremely polite and gave the cop no reasons to be nervous. Each time the cop let him go for the speeding, but wrote him up for the missing plate. Gee, points on my license or a simple $35 fine. I'll try going front-plateless.

None on mine, that was the first thing I took off when I got home. Florida doesn't require you to have one.

I also took mine off about one month after I took delivery. We are required to have front plates here in VA, but in my opinion the front plate really ruins the look of the S. I hear it is a $55 fine here, but I am willing to pay that if need be to keep the car's good front end looks....

I only run one plate. But in Massachusetts if you run the old green plate you're only issued one plate.

There are a few posts on this already.

I've gone without a front plate (although its required) for about 15 months with no problems.
