Default DC Sport Header

This is a qoute I found online ( www.i-m-racing.com )

"With the installation of a DC Sports header, you'll feel a 10 to 14 horsepower gain over stock as well as increased torque throughout the RPM band."

Is this true....14-16 hp...thats a lot.

That is complete BS. From what I've been reading, DC Sports admits that their header doesn't add any power at all, just weight savings. I'm sure DC Sports would not appreciate this kind of crap from a retailer.

I think that Mingster did very early on - maybe in 2000? If I recall correctly, his experience seemed to mirror what I've read in other posts on this board - ie., that the DC Sports header does nothing at all for hp, torque, or even moving the torque around.

I think it's general statement they are making. I have seen 10-20 hp gain in Civics' and etc. with header.

we really need to see some real dyno sheet here.

this topic has been around for quite some time already.

maybe Mingster can some how reproduce the dyno sheet for the header.

Besides Mingster the only other dyno that I can recall for a DC Header was shingles. His dyno basically has no change, so you're paying the $ for mostly weight savings. It was just over a year ago and he posted it in this thread:
