Default Is it safe to track these rotors?

Virtually every single hole has these tiny cracks. If you thought you were safe by having rotors with holes casted into them, think again. These rotors have a few track days and 15,000 street miles.

So the question, should I replace them asap or will they safely go thru a few more miles / track days?

Thanks.

Cross drilled will not fair well at the track. I would say keep them for street(looks good) pickup some OEM rotors for the track to thrash up!

These started to crack like this if your a hard braker at the track you very well might crack them right through!(a dangerous situation)

But that's the rub...these aren't cross DRILLED...they're cast. I would have expected cast to fair much better. Luis, are you positive these are cast? I expect cracks along radial stress lines with drilled, just like you have there...

discard immeadiately::::: that will turn into a big fault line at the track which could sieze up in caliper. that's why u inspect your rotors, to detect the early fissures so you can get them the hell off you car before they go BANG!

I've seen the same cracking on some Spoon rotors that a friend used on the track just one time ... and he wasn't a very hard braker either! He purchased them specifically because they were cast and were represented to him as being track-safe. I'm sticking with OEM now too.

It's a pity... they looked good.

I have used a variety of pads, including stock, Honda Access red pads, Panther XP.

Time for a note to Ichishima san?
