Schatten and svann have done a pretty good job of getting the NT folks in the loop. I

Don't expect too much TT CD..unless you put in some great times. Then they'll use you for PR. Had this same thing in my biking days...same company. When they introduced the Bridgestone Battleaxe Sportbike Race Tire for the street. Ran VERY fast at Willow Springs....got a lot of free tires outta that. Funny thing was I liked the Bridgestones sooo much I would have traded my ME-1's anyway.

Good luck and let it ALL hang out....remember it's not you car.

Funny you should bring this up cthree, I was planning to post this myself. I attending the Bridgestone event this past Friday at Pro Player Stadium in Miami and it was a hoot. You have to listen to a lecture that includes some technical information (interesting) and sales advice for dealers (not as interesting). Then its on to the 325s. cdelena - there are 3 cars on different tires and you get a total of 10 laps or so, I thought it was worth it. I had a lot of fun flogging the cars around on a wet autocross course and was impressed by the traction of the RE950s. Most of us identified the 50% shaved and heat cycled RE950 as the best performing tire, followed by unworn 950s and then some worn Michelins. The instructors and staff were very friendly and helpful (I think I may have been in Sean's group Jason). At the end there is a bit of a competitive experience where the 3 teams of 6 participants and 1 instructor race against each other. Each person takes the car around the course, jumps out and tags the next driver who does another lap, etc. Time penaltys are assessed for knocking down cones, going off course, not stopping in the correct spot, not having the seatbelt on, etc. BTW, our group won! I won't give away the prize, but it isn't a set of tires .

I had an interesting discussion with one of the technical staff, and he was very interested in the Bridgstone debates that have occurred in this forum. So, I invited him to have a look. He agrees that the tread width of the SO2 PP is much less than that of the OEM SO2, and could contribute to some of the handling issues reported here. The new SO3 PP will be made to similar size specifications but includes new technology to better maintain wet and dry handling properties through the life of the tire. The OEM SO2s don't have this technology, and though they give excellent grip when new, as they wear, dry and wet grip will decrease (as we all know).
