Several people had talked about having a long drive, followed by a dinner, to celebrate the holiday season... an "S2K xmas party"....

How about Sun 15th?

Open, of course, to our buds in the Miata and 350Z clubs!

San Antonio and DFW S2Ks as well...

Suggest starting a bit before noon, going straight out 1431 to Blue Bonnet Cafe for lunch (before they close for the afternoon!), then heading far north and or west for a while on our favorite roads. Eventually winding back down to Fredericksburg... for dinner and holiday cheer....

Ideas?

I am assuming that some people would have holiday plans for Sat 14th?

Interest???

Great idea, ex. for Bluebonnet cafe for Sunday lunch - I think every churchgoer in Marble Falls must go there after church.

Not sure yet re: my availability....sounds like fun, but I've spent a full day each of the last three weekends at the motocross track...and w/ an '03 Honda CRF 450R coming to my garage on Saturday, I'm gonna wanna be thrashing that beast!

I'd def. be up for an evening dinner if it was in town.

I'd be up for it. And of course, we could always follow up with some of the trailing few for a video night: Best of Motoring 5/6, Mischief 3000.

I'd be up for it too, provided the weather is good.

Chris - we're counting on you to come up with the usual brilliant route!

If not Blue Bonnet, we'll have to hit Opies. Maybe that's better, we have a photo of our group in the works for him to put on his wall. Labelled "Opies - Official BBQ of Austin S2K"....

Thrash the 450R the day before. It's time for a drive...

Gtgs in the dead of winter, now you're talking. Let's separate the true enthusiasts from the rest of the crowd.

I've never been to Bluebonnet and would like to try it. What if we got there before the Church crowd gets there? Don't really care for Opie's that much.

I'll be happy to help out w/ route planning regardless of whether or not I go...my availability would likely be better on Sat., though

I think we should be getting discounts before we endorse any place. I love Opie's, but also Salt Lick and Cooper's. I never envisioned I'd create such a monster when I introduced y'all to Opie's!!!

Sorry, but have you ever ridden a 55 hp, 225 lb. motocross bike? Fun as the S2000 is, it's an absolute snore compared to this beast! I'll see, but it partially depends on when all my buds go...it's more fun when you can race your friends!

Alright, so dead of winter has a slightly different meaning here in San Antonio vs Fargo. But it's still kinda chilly with the top down when it's 40. Guess I'm just gett'n old.

Renae, I know you drive with the top down ALL THE TIME cause I noticed you have the tonneau cover on your car.

Bluebonnet breakfast sounds good to me. I do like that Salt Lick alot too.
