I have finally attained OWNER status
It is now OFFICIAL.
As of last night, around 9 o clock, I finally became the VERY proud owner of an 03 GPW/Tan after a long and tedious nine months of research and searching for the best price in the Houston area.
I can't even describe the emotional roller coster my body went through driving it home last night. I am sure most of you can relate. I don't know what it was, but as soon as I got home I passed out from what felt like an overdose of elation. It was really strange. I guess my mind couldn't handle having the car and also deal with the fact that so many issues have now come to a conclusion; but, I checked this morning and the car was still in the garage.
The slight feelings of buyers remorse and regret I had after signing the numerous documents completely disentegrated once I drove off the lot. I honestly can't say I have ever driven a car that felt so perfect in the cockpit. It feels like the seat, and the little area around it, were specifically custom fitted for me. I am in love.
I am off to the driveway to wash the car. Since all the paperwork was performed after closing last night all the detailers had already gone home. My two options were wait until Monday and come pick it up detailed, or do it myself. Gee...that was a tough one.
If someone can help me post pics of the car it would be greatly appreciated. I have about five-six of the car and interior but I don't know how to embed them in the response.
Last, but not least, I also want to say thank you to all the fine members of this forum for all the information you have provided me with these past few months. The politeness and willingness to help others on this board is light years beyond that of any other forum and I hope to contribute in the coming months.
Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones. Take care on the roads.
Peace

Ah yes,I remember my drive home from the dealer with MY02 and how much fun it was even though I was sitting in evening rush hour traffic....Enjoy your new car 606 and remember the break in period
Congrats on your new car!
You might want to check out the HouStook Forum to keep up with the local S2k scene. You're welcome to attend any Get-To-Gether that is on the forum. I'm sure that we'd all like to see the new WHITE/TAN color combo. I bet it looks nice.
Private Message "moyopoyo" so you can get your HouStook badge.

Geez, aren't they going to miss you at the Z06 Forum?
Now that was good Palmateer. Brought a smile to my face. They will not miss me though. I never have had a Z06. I had an 02 Z28 that is now gone and the S took its place. Couldn't be more pleased with that change either.
Thanks for the heads up Joe. I will post in the Houston area and make sure to contact moyopoyo. I will come out to a meet soon so you'll can check out the car. I look forward to meeting all of you.
