THE OFFICIAL MEETING TIME IS NOW NOON. WE ARE PLANNING ON MEETING IN THE HOOTER'S PARKING LOT ON RIVERBOAT ROW IN NEWPORT.

Updated 2/9/03:

Looks like we have a real event here! The meet will take place on Sunday, April 27. The route is tentatively set to go through N. Kentucky, and E. Indiana, but it is still being debated. Wherever we go, the route will be long enough to make it worth while for those who are traveling to get here. Any suggestions on routes would be appreciated. I have talked to the guys over at NSXprime and I have about 12 people planning to come from there, plus all of the people here, which should make for a great run.

Sounds good to me. Posting this early should give everyone time to work out the details.

Maybe with specific route information so if some one can't do the whole route can join for parts of it.

Note that the Wake The Dragon run is set for Fri-Sun, April 11-13. I'm definately going to go to that. Sure would be nice if the proposed Cincy/N. KY run would not be a conflict. Then I could go to BOTH.

I will definatly schedule the event around the Dragon because I know several of our cinti area owners are going (possibly including me). I will need some help with this event, though. I dont remember who set up the September one, but I know Slewpy ran last April's run and he is too busy to set up another event. Does anyone have a map of the previous route that they could post? That way people can post their opinions for a different route because IMHO, we went through too many populated areas last time. Iwould still like to start at Hooters in Newport and stop for lunch in Madison since those seemed to work well in regards to parking, accessablity, etc. Who handled the insurance/legal matters for the last event? Was it boiler? Whoever it was, could you give me a hand with that aspect of this run? Thanks a lot. Oh, btw- go ahead and post any dates in April or May that are not good. I will start with the obvious:

April 11-13: WAKING the Dragon (sorry Airgate )
May 2-3: OBX Run

I will update this post as other dates come in.

The map was on a web site from a Harley club. The name had something to do with the granary. I'll see if I can't find it.

I can help with the insurance. We should have plenty of time.

Wow, that was too easy. Here is the link to their web site: http://www.thegranary.com/

The routes are there as well as the maps, such as they are. Scott took us on the West drive on the Ohio River.

Did we take a modified version of the Granary route? Because I don't see Madison on there anywhere. I remember last April's run was LONG- almost exhaustively so. I would like this route to be somewhere in between the length of last April's and September's (which was surprisingly short). I definatly want it to be long enough to be worth while for the out-of-towners.
