Well, to make a long story short yesterday I was involved in an accident where I hit a truck which sent me off the road into a tree at 50+ mph. I am pretty sure my car is totaled, but these pictures should be a testament to the safety of this car as I walked away scratchless. I have enjoyed meeting and talking with many of you on this board and I will continue to check it and contribute as I can, but I doubt that I will be getting another S due to the insuing insurance problems I am going to have. Best of luck to all of you, and expect some parts for sale soon!

Nix

p.s. Airbag powder stinks terribly!

Bummer. Glad you're ok. Hope the insurance issues don't knock you out of the S market. Used prices are falling and insurance claims usually pay top dollar.

Good luck.

Always a horrible thing to look at

Glad you're OK... and reassurance that the S2000 is a relatively safe car in an accident.

Good luck, hope you get back what you had!

Thanks all. As I mentioned I walked away scratchless even though every time I twitched the police officer asked me if I was sure that I was ok. I miss her already and I have no idea what I will replace her with. I sure did enjoy our 6 month relationship though.

wow...that looks awful, glad you're okay.

hey legal bill what insurance do you have? i have never gotten top dollar from any of my insurance claims, it's always a fight and struggle just to get non-refurbished parts.

hey there Nix. im sure i speak for the community when i say we are always sad to hear about an accident involving an S2000, but moreso glad to hear that owners make it out ok.

i got in an accident about three weeks ago that left me standing next to my car swearing i never wanted another S. now that the possibility of my car being totalled is at hand, im starting to consider the survival rate of S2000 accidents and how well built they are. i hope you change your mind as time passes. i don't know any other community like this one.

best wishes and safe travels.
