Caltrans mentions rock and mudslide, but does not state anything else. Im hoping two weeks will be enough to clear that issue, but I will check prior to the drive.

"SR 2
[IN THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AREA]
IS CLOSED FROM ISLIP SADDLE TO 5 MI WEST OF BIG PINES (LOS ANGELES CO)
- DUE TO A ROCK & MUD SLIDE - MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO USE AN ALTERNATE ROUTE"
That means it's still closed. Hopefully it will be open in 2 weeks, like you said.

Giving the update from Caltrans looks like the Rock & Mud slide is still present and is currently being worked on. So given this information I will postpone the drive till a later date.

Took an unexpected drive through ACH for what was suppose to be a calm drive turn out to be one of the most "spirited" drives I have done.
-Damn these cars.
