As some of you know i blew my old engine (AP1) I'm not sure what caused this but my problems ended up being blown head-gasket, and piston rings. I didn't want to rebuild my engine so i went ahead and bought a AP2 engine i found on the boards for 3000, I also bought a 2mm head-gasket and ARP studs in the process my motor mounts were bad so i upgraded to innovative

I got my car back yesterday new engine in, and all problems fixed.

I took my car to Autowave expecting 400whp @16psi but i had some problems
1) gt3071 too small
2) Boost controller
3) throttle body sensor bad

1) I knew my car wouldn't make a lot of peak horsepower with that turbo so i wasn't too disappointed if i didn't make 400, which i didn't.
2) The GM boost controller i had kept making infinite boost (what i call it) so there was no cap on the boost and AEM ems could get the correct hertz so with me starting a 7psi and the solenoid making boost to 17psi it made 370whp un-tuned, I didn't like that so we put in the manual boost controller.

The Manual boost controller adjust boost but only 7lbs above wastegate spring (gay) then it bleeds off 4lbs boost (gay gay)

in all with me @ 12 psi bleeding to 8 psi aggressive tune my car made 330 we were gonna leave it at that because i had the 2mm headgasket but we were adjusting my car to get fuel mileage and every time my car throttle was at 33% it would like jump to 100% for a milliseconds he said i need to put my old throttle body on because that one was fine and my current TPS is bad

Because of my tps we went a more conservative tune i made
301hp 252trq on AP2 motor @ 8750 rps with AP1 intake cam

My car feels great i never need to downshift i make full torque @ 4k rpm which is great for around town and is what i expected

I plan to go back to autowave prob in around 2 months so i can save some money and ill be back with a new throttle body and an AEM Boost solenoid he expects me to be between 370-390 with both of those item I cant wait

Those #'s are actually not too bad considering the issues you had. Dynamics read super low. Im glad your car is running, just be careful on reving the AP2 motor that high all the time.

haha thanks guys I researched a lot and people put the AP1 intake cam inside so it can rev higher. This one guy has been running his to 9k everyday like he says for 40,000 miles but Ill never need to rev that high unless I'm Racing M3 or Corvettes

9k AP2 ok

^ alot of people (myself include) believe a the speed of the piston is too great, causing the skirt of the piston to wear on the cylinder wall. i never take mine above 8.5k if i can help it. the extra 500 rpms dont add much hp and its a lot less stress on the motor
