The wikipedia page for the S2000 should just give a link to this thread.

so does anyone no what happens to all the concept cars that get built? are they just sitting in a warehouse somewhere?
Some are saved, some are crushed, some are recycled.

Well I finally did it. Just snagged an 07 Rio NEW from a dealer in Omaha for a steal. Problem is I live in Washington DC. I was going to have the car shipped, but after reading some horror stories about auto transporters (and the $1000 cost) I may reconsider. Problem is the drive is 1200 miles (2 days). What would you guys do? Drive it myself for the 1st 1200 miles or ship it. Either way, I'm like a kid at christmas!

Congrats on the purchase.

I think I would ship it (get anal on the shippers' insurance in case anything goes wrong). The reason is that I think break in would be better done at a range of speed and rpms that you just can't get on the highway in a reasonable manner.

You're going to love the car.

Here is my favorite, the Honda Argento. Is this thing beautiful or what? I sure wish they had built this one.

BTW, the collector who owns this prototype beauty installed a Mercedes/AMG drivetrain, including suspension, brakes, transmission and an AMG 7.3 litre V12.

You think it can get out of its own way?
