This is the craziest thing I've ever done...
My wife was out of town this past Monday. It was a national holiday so I had the day off. I was bored so I went to the local Honda dealer and test drove an S2000. I liked it. Their ask price was a little out of my range so I got on the internet and found a good deal... two states away. I called, they still had it, and they even came down on the price a little. I'm flying out next Thursday to pick it up. What in the heck have I done?

well if you wife is still out of town, then it's cool. when she comes back and sees a S say that you won a random prize drawing.

Dude I'm doing this today myself! Flying from Seattle to Las Vegas and driving an '07 S2000 back! I found the S on-line as well.

I like ans2K's idea but she is already back home. I have some clients in that state so "I'm leaving town next week on business".
For years, I've been having fun test driving cars but for various reasons I just didn't feel compelled to buy. Some were just a bit out of my price range like the Porsche 911 Coupe, the M3, Z4, or the latest generation Corvette. (I was also very concerned about repair costs for the german cars) I really liked the Boxster and the factory turbo MazdaSpeed Miata, but neighter of those cars have enough headroom. I also drove the Mini Cooper, Mustang GT, Nissan 350Z, Audi TT Coupe and Convertible, Infiniti G35 Coupe... all good cars but I just didn't feel like opening the checkbook. There is just something about that S2000 and I'm still surprized that it has enough head room for me. I just hoping I don't get stuck in a snowstorm in the Blue Mountains. I don't want to call my wife and ask her to come rescue me with the 4 wheel drive pickup.
