Thought i would introduce myself over here... my name is John, and i am on the lookout for an S2K...

right now i own a 2008 Fit, and while its a great car and fun to autocross, i want something more, so an S2K is in my future.. just need to find the right one.. i want white with all black, or black/red interior.... but since that seems like a pain in the butt to find, i'd also settle for a red with all black interior.

Hey dude! :hello: how do you like the fit for pickup and handling??? ..i just saw an 08 in that purplish color at the auto show here in philly the other day, and i really want one! :) ..hopefully you checked out the FS threads

Well, it doesn't do much for 'pickup'... haha! Its slow, i'll give it that. The fastest i was able to get it to run at the track was an 18.2 or something like that...

However, at the autocross is a completely different thing.

I only have run it twice, but in the first autocross i was running it in HStock, and placed first in class, and my PAX score put me 23rd out of 108. I was pulling faster times than most of the cars out there even without PAX on my side...

The next autocross, i added a rear anti-sway bar, and threw on some Buddy Club wheels and some KDW tires (biggest mistake ever), and then ran it in STS instead of Hstock... well, i was able to place 2nd with it in STS with tires that kept getting worse and worse... it sucked. I honestly could have gone faster on the stock tires... it was THAT bad. KDW tires are horrible auto-x tires. But anyway, because i was in STS, my PAX for that event placed me 46th out of 125 drivers... still not bad. The guy i placed 2nd to also happened to be the East and West Central Florida STS Champion for 2007, and he rarely loses... i lost to him by only 1.88 seconds with crappy tires and stock suspension other than the sway bar....

So in all, i think that the Fit is MORE than capable in autocrossing, especially if your courses are not power-dependant necessarily...


I did check out the classifieds, but since i am financing the Fit right now, and want to trade it in, i need to find something at a dealership.... i'm a patient person.. haha! The worst that'll happen, is that i'll be 'forced' to autocross the Fit one more time in STS, but this time with slightly better tires... haha!
