Default Keep the SI, or go s2k

Hello All,

My names Sebastian and i just became a member here on s2ki.
I absolutely love the s2ks and am kind of in a weird situation that i hoped you guys might be able to help me out with.

I currently own a 99 FBP EM1 w/ 71,000 miles. and i absolutely love the car.
BUT have recently had thoughts of upgrading to the s2k.

I started purchasing parts to built a 300hp daily driven turbo si but recently came to a halt because of this consideration of the s2k. I honestly dont know what to do.

I love the si because i have no payments, pretty good milage fo a 99, a car ive always wanted and im just in love with her and would love to have a 300hp daily that i built to call my own

but id love to have a beautiful s2k which would feel like a complete upgrade and drive something that feels like a true honda beast =]....i love honda engineering and they built that car perfect to a T.

If i did go s2k id have to sell the current 99 si and use that money with some of my cash to put about a $9,000 down payment on a used ap1 or ap2 and finance about 5-6,000 dollars which would not be a problem at all. but i wondering if this is even a smart decision or if i should just save my passion for this beautiful vehicle for the future and just finish my turbo project or just go ahead and make the change =(

sorry for the rant guys lol. im just truly lost lol

9K isn't a down payment for a AP1, you can own it! Anyways your on an S2K website so im sure most of the answers will be S2K FTW! GL man.

Being a new owner myself I would say jump ship and hop into an S2K. They are absolutely the most fun to drive.

I'd keep the Si, sell the turbo parts and finanace the S2K. $9K is enough or almost enough for a AP1. You'll still have a great daily driver and can keep the miles off the S2K. If you find the payments/ownership too much you can sell it and still be left with your "passion." The Si is a gem, so I'd keep it clean and close to stock if possible.

Good luck.

As always: test drive. If that doesn't convince you then stick with the SI.

Why debate?

Cosmo's garage = '00 Si, '04 S2K. Why have just one Jap hottie when u can have 2?

I never quite got the whole Civic thing as a hot rod. I guess it is after my informative years, we were into big block muscle then 5.0s, I like Civics as a way to get to work or shopping, but not as a hot rod and definitely not as a choice over a S2000.

To me the choice is easy, if you live in the right climate...ragtop.

you will get a biased opinion on here, but I went from front-wheel drive to rear wheel drive so I guess I'll chime in... It's worth it, in short. The S2k is more powerful than the civic and puts the power down more efficiently.
