Hey guys, I'm picking up an '00 S2000 in about 10 days and I was just curious as to whether or not they are expensive to Insure. I'll be checking with my insurance co. soon to get exact quotes, but I just wanted to get a heads up. I thought I remember hearing somewhere they were cheap(er) to insure. Thanks guys.

Pretty expensive if you ask me. You should call your insurance agent to make sure you can afford the insurance.

definately pretty expensixe...my insurance went up like 65 dollars a month...but i am under 25 and non married...but i also have a clean driving record...

It really depends on how old you are? and what's your driving record look like and location matter also

Sorry. One of the most expensive cars in the US to insure. Make sure you get a quote on your insurance before you buy the car. Some people have actually had to sell their car because they could afford the insurance.

Remember though; it depends on your age, driving record, location, etc..

Also do a search for crash, you'll get a million topics. Seems a lot of people are very carless when they drive this car and get into accidents; makes the car even more expensive to insure

I just called my company, they said it would be $39 cheaper every 6 mos compared to my old car! Awesome.

Almost as expensive as it gets frankly. It is about 5-10% more expensive than a C5 vette of the same year for anyone under 25 years old and unmarried for most insurers. I can't say for another age group as I didn't attempt to learn about them, but I'm assuming it's a similar position.

I can barely afford liability since I can't stand throwing away money towards an insurance company.
