Quite a few new breweries in the area. Franklin and bryson city have some. Check out mountain layer brewery and churrahee brewery. Robinsville is dry but they now have a tap room . only serve mead and honey wine. It's close to the HUB. They use their own honey and found a loophole to serve. Speak to the owner they are nice folks. The brewer used to work at tapoco. You will recognize him I'm sure.
Tapoco now has one owner and he laid off a lot of employees. The red dog is gone. Service was pretty slow at the restaurant but thew food was still good.

We checked out Mountain Layer. Good beer. Missed Red Dog. Checked out Whareloom Honey. He wasn't there either...lol

We tried some old roads we found a few years ago and were surprised to see they had been repaved. Wayah Rd (heading to Franklin) is a blast. Another road we tried a few years back that was in crap shape (so we named it The Taint of the Dragon) has been repaved and was pretty fun. Its a little tight and has a few bumps, but overall nice. Its the road right across from Tapoco that runs into the back of Fontana.

As we were leaving, the NY Metro crew showed up with thier S's and a few groms. They were ready to have some fun.

We were shocked at how dead it was. We tried to watch cars on the Dragon but got bored so we went back to driving.
