after market pulleys
OK so everytime I search about aftermarket pulleys, everyone says its bad cause they don't weight the same as the stock.
Is this a myth or is it true? Reason why I'm asking is I replaced my idler pulley and my tensioner pulley due to noise of the bearing being worn, at least i assume... now i feel i'm getting noise again... could be the tct whalso which i replaced with a ballade sports one 2 years ago. I'm just tried of battling ticking and squeeling. Any feed would be cool. Thanks |
This thread should be moved to under the hood or aftermarket section. Was the tensioner a brand new OEM part? You can replace the OEM bearing in the tensioner pulley(about $10-$15), I think someone posted a replacement aftermarket idler bearing on here.
As far as light weight pulleys, I covered this subject in this post pretty well: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-mo.../#post24433727 |
