ARC Intake
The MCR S2000 got me thinking about this and I haven't heard anything about this intake in a while. Has anybody purchased it recently or still currently using it? Any comments from long term users? I'm thinking about getting an intake and I don't want to spend over $1k on a J's/Mugen (not just yet anyways) or spend $300 for an AEM V2 that I have to cut things out to install and risk hydrolock.
What I know about the ARC intake is that it can suck in hot air. Can't I get an ARC radiator panel to match and cancel out the heat soak?
Also what are the HP gains by itself? With an exauhst (I got a J's 70mm on the way and if anybody has this i/e combo PLEASE COMMENT!!!)? And mentioning my J's 70mm, ideally what would be a good intake to use with it?
Thanks,
Anthony

my buddy has it, and he said heat soak was pretty bad. He was thinking of covering it in that thermal pad stuff (like what Spoon has for oil pans). He has a vented hood now and he said it's a bit better. I haven't heard much otherwise. Just a little bump in power. Most intakes aren't gonna give you much power anyway.

Its pretty prone to Heat Soak. That and the 90 degree bend in the piping really puts me off. I don't see the idea behind it because it doesnt build air pressure ala Mugen, J's or GruppeM and yet its not a Cold Air/Snorkel design either Nevertheless its awesome under the hood bling!

I'm really looking forward to help the intake of air into my car to compliment the J's 70mm. I don't care about the intake sound, but it's gotta look decent.
Any good intake to go with the J's 70mm?
Should I just buy some sort of aftermarket air filter, snorkel, and J's 70mm throttle body?
