Bride seat authenticity?
 

Hey guys I have found a steal of a deal for some bride seats but am afraid that it might be a fake. I've checked for all the basics like BRIDE being engraved on the side, the height of the Low Max logo, and all of the stickers that usually come with the seats.

Here are pics of the seats I plan to get. If you guys could help me that would be awesome!

I cant be of much help but I doubt a replica maker would go through that much trouble of making it look spot on.

Do you have better shots of the stitching? Check how the bolts from the seats mount up to the rails. It should be perfect.

Without seeing that, they look authentic to me.

All the pics can be enlarged quite a bit. How tight should the stitching be? After seeing all the stickers and whatnot, it's leading me to believe they are real.

The stitching looks like it should be tighter, but then again, it could just be due to normal wear and tear. Even enlarged, its hard to tell from the picture. If you can still see the seats, the cloth should wrap tightly around the back edges of the seat. Make sure the plates on the sides are steel, not aluminum.

Can the seller provide receipts? How good of a deal are they? I mean use your best judgment. Something like 1K for the pair would make me suspicious. As far as I can tell from the pictures, they are real.

Edit: Looking at picture number 2 and picture number 8, is the hardware on the sides backing out?

Keep us informed about how it goes. Those seats are my favorite and best pic for the S2k. And I'm 6'4" so thats saying alot.
But also, whats the weight of one of those compared to an OEM seat?

I can't put my finger on it still, but something on the sides of that seat are a way to tell between real and fake. Maybe take the cover off and look at the bolts and connectors. I have only seen a few real photos posted and they look different than the fake ones. Sorry for being vague, I hate fake stuff being advertised being anything but fake.

did it come with a certificate ?

Well I have seen a few fake ones.... and WOW some are REALLY well done but you know from the price.... My buddy who bought the real deal... $2000 PER SEAT!! Those were authentic. One way you can tell is the price and the foam padding... The fake ones use a thinner foam, but they have ALL the markings and tags of the same real ones! Though the real ones were crash tested.... The fakes are not so you decide! :tipwink:
