nice hood, but is there something wrong with the fitment on the passenger side? It doesn't look like the hood is popped, but I can still see through to the engine bay....

highrpmek: you can say that about any hood -- yes if you cut the hood I'm sure it would fit -- he asked if the hood had space to clear the intake, and since they don't use either of those intakes on the Chargespeed car I would not think that they would make an empty space on their hoods to use them -- but if you want to buy a $900 hood and then cut it up to fit, why not just buy an authentic J's or Mugen hood that you know would fit? I assumed that he did not want to cut up the hood.

fitment is very good - threw it on in 10 minutes and needs to be adjusted towards the passenger side just a little, but I'm taking it off to paint it so didn't bother getting it perfect, yet.

It's very light - you can see through it

but the latch is sturdy and has held up to 110mph

How do you know it doesn't clear J's intake? A OEM hood doesn't have a hump but you can but away some of the metal and it will clear. How do you know this hood does have a thin spot where the intake would be?
but that requires modification... with that in mind, any hood would fit... the reason it wouldn't have a hollow area for the intake is they don't run either intake. the only companies actively selling a hood that fits the mugen/j's intake would be mugen and j's (both manufactured by the same company in JP, and this is without modification... ) The exception is the ASM hood, but it also has a visable ridge... there would be no point in putting a weak spot in the hood if you can mold it any way you want...
