Cusco 4pt Roll Cage
A few questions about the Cusco 4 bar roll cage . . .
Does it use the rear seat mount and the rear suspension upper mounts for the mounting points? Are you still able to put the top down with the roll cage installed? Doesn't look like there would be much room to put the top down with the cage in there. Thanks in advance, Bob |

To answer your question, it doesnt use either of the points you mention. It mounts slightly behind the seat mount.
Top functions perfectly, fitment is top notch. That top pic was from my car. I never had a problem with the Cusco cage and we have a number of very happy customers with them. |

For the mounting does it require drilling the sheet metal and does it use like a three or four hole flange at the base of each leg? I have seen some nasty pics of flipped S2K's and am really surprised how well the factory piece held up. |
Jeez Ben,
I'm a newbie S2000 owner, anyway I just saw the pics of your car. Man that thing is awesome! My Son and I always make jokes about how modding a car is a disease and it's true! I had an '03 Evo VIII and sold that car to my son to make room or somehow justify having two not real practical cars in the garage. Anyway I just wanted to say excellent job on the car! |

Is the flat black bar just behind the seat the factory bar? If it is that thing looks pretty stout.
Thanks for the info, Bob

Yes, those flat black bars are the stock roll hoops.
I believe you do have to drill holes in the sheet metal to mount the bar. I'm not questioning the roll bar itself but if you are looking to doing any kind of autocross or regulated competition event(Like SCCA, NASA), this cage is not legal. |

You want to know the weird thing? Cusco Rollcages are legal in drift competitions as long as you get an extra door piece/side protection added on. I've seen the design for the 240SX and Corolla GTS's and they are virtually the same as the S2000. Those are used all the time in Drift competitions in the U.S.
