Default Cusco Hyper Single Clutch Kit

What is the weight of the Flywheel which comes with this kit ? Observing the image, it does not seem to have holes on the outer edge to reduce weight vs other aftermarket flywheels.

Is the drive feel good for daily use/traffic ?

Thanks

my buddy has it on his supercharged S.... he says he likes the clutch takes a little getting used to... and that the setup hates low revs....

Cusco doesn't list the weight separately, but since the part is offered as a replacement piece also, I can check with Cusco to find out shipping weight or something.

As far as street driving, yeah - it'll take some getting used to, but engagement should be pretty smooth once you have it down . The sprung hub makes all the difference in the world for streetability.

in simple words it does have a rough engagement, just like the puk clutches.

Well no - its not a puck clutch - that was my point

being a sprung hub should make for a smoother engagement and good streetability - it will be a little tougher because of the increased clamping force of the pressure plate, and thats what will take getting used to.

Trip, if you want smooth engagement and maximum weight saving and long lasting, there's only one clutch kit out there. and that's the ATS carbon clutch with carbon coated flywheel.

I have a spare new set for sell if your interested, here's the spec:

Stock: Complete assembly weighs = 12.1KG (26.7lb)
Flywheel............................= 6.2KG (13.7lb)
Clutch...............................= 5.9KG (13lb)

ATS: Complete assembly weighs = 7.2KG (15.8lb)
Flywheel............................= 3.4KG (7.49lb)
Clutch...............................= 3.8KG (8.37lb)

Lighter than all other assembly out there. PM me if interested.

Thanks Bluesaint for the info and offer.

I cannot justify the extra $$ for a clutch for a standard un-modified car.

Cusco is the same as the Exedy Hyper single clutch kit... save a couple hundred dollars and just buy the exedy... (they manufactured it anyways... and noone is going to see the color of your pressure plate... )
