A little off topic, but a legitimate question:

I know that these (4 or 5pt) apparently do not fit 06+ S2k's, but my question is why, and what would be needed to make them fit?

Help with this would be very much appreciated. I've tried searching all over the place and can't seem to find any solid info.

the floor board on the passenger side is a different shape. People have made them fit by modifying the mounting bracket. There should be a thread somewhere with pictures. That is the only difference.

There's a small compromise in space because of the main hoop legs, so the seats can't slide all the way back anymore.

Thanks Chris. Used this as a guideline to install my Mugen roll bar. Only difference is I had to remove the hoops for the Mugen.
Question though, any of you guys have problems with the holes / plates rusting out? Thinking of what to spray. I don't want to spray the bottom with paint, it might be hard to remove if I ever want to remove the roll bar?

to avoid rust, i'd just paint the backing plates. powder coat them if you want to go the extra mile, otherwise, rustoleum or any spray paint will do.

Is this strong enough to be able to remove the centre member and the OEM roll hoops?
