First ASM part
 

Won an auction on Yahoo auction Japan for a asm header. Couldn't pass on it ol but it needs a coating. I'm thinking white ceramic coat like the asm time attack car or like silver or gold. Still debating what I'm going to do with it.

Coat it for function, not bling. Painting a header a specific color is like painting your toenails. Neither can normally be seen. And if it can be seen may cause embarrassment if you picked the wrong color. :)

I'm aware of the function of ceramic coating but the header was already media blasted so it's ready to be ceramic coated. I'd rather it be white, silver or gold as opposed to being black.

If any color has more utility -- actually does something non-cosmetic -- make it that color, no one will see it even if that color is pink. Otherwise just color it anything you like. no one will see that either., We all know, for example, that a black intercooler on boosted cars adds about 10% extra power so it's reasonable to expect the same power advantage from this pipe. ;)

@Chuck S I also know this. The color has nothing to do with the temp rating. I'll make it a color thats pleasing to me that's why I have my choices

Nice I love my ASM header. I think my only hesitation for white would be getting in in there without getting it all messy looking. Sliver or gold may be a little more forgiving though white like the ASM car would be cool. I think they do that because a color like white is easy to see if there is fluid on it indicating a leak.

Thought about a pro wrap ;)

If you actually want to coat it with something useful you’re gonna want to do Swaintech plasma coating aka the White lightning or whatever they call it.
