Thanks for your help on this!

Do you know if the fenders are wider than OEM?

Can you explain the configuration of CFRP/FRP?

Is part the fender CFRP and part of it FRP, or does it just mean that the fender has CF and Fiberglass fibers inside the plastic? The finish looks like black plastic, right?

I've seen the J's S-type front bumper listed as CFRP/FRP. I thought the bumper was FRP and the splitter was CF, but I guess I'm wrong.

I need to know if there is a difference in repairing/modifying CFRP vs FRP parts. If you have any info about that, please post it!

I'm not feeling the vent, either.

it looks like the J's fenders are similar in design to the Varis except the the covers are larger and with a nasty looking vent on the cover. The fenders look to be FRP and the cover CFRP.

I saw them on their car at auto salon without the covers and they looked good but those carbon fiber covers are nasty.

I'll explain as much as I think I know about composites. FRP as you know, is like fiberglass. Its easily repair and it shows no paterns and its relatively easy to make from a mold(It still involves laying woven sheets and resin though). CFRP is made from a layer of carbon fiber and hardened to a shape using a type of resin. The type of resin and the process involved is what seperates the difference between dry and wet carbon. HCC or whatever CWest calls it is similar, but very different in strength. HCC involveds two layers of carbon with a honeycomb structure sandwiched inbetween. From the picture in AJ-Racing's website, it looks like their fender is FRP and the wheel duct is CFRP.

huh? What do fenders have to do with brake ducting?
i'm saying it doesn't keep heat trapped. its clearly obvious based on there design which it states on the j's site. these fenders will be in between 15-25mm

Ben, so the varis are 750, I'm assuming since you want them to go with the carbon covers that it's 750 + the cost of the covers?
