J's 70RS Single
I just finished installing a J's 70RS single on my AP2. Install was very straight forward and the fitment was great. It only took me 1 1/2 hours total to remove the stock one and install the new one and that's with a one week old collarbone fracture!
I've only taken a short drive so far, but I've noticed the following:
Loud drone from 3000-4500rpm
7000-8000rpm doesn't seem much louder than stock inside the cabin
Tunnel WOT noise is awesome!
I should have throttle response, weight reduction and butt dyno impressions after I get to drive it a little more. Pics, audio, and dyno to be added if/when I produce them.
Still have the factory cat. I might consider replacing it with a testpipe if I think it will reduce the drone.

A test pipe will take care of the drone, and help out with your throttle response, weight reduction and butt dyno impressions
Have you had any other exhausts before that you could compare it to? I used to have a 60RS and I'm thinking about going back to a single, just curious how it would compare....

Sorry I have nothing to compare it to, this is my 1st exhaust.

Ok I know the thread is worthless without pics/sound clips and a dyno graph. Hopefully I can provide those items soon.

Look forward to the results!

i have the 70rs on my car and there is no drone at all, but that is with a t1r test pipe; i haven't tried it w/ a cat yet.
But anyway, this exhaust sounds great, looks great, and performs great. Just wanted to let everyone know.

I haven't heard the 70RS Dual in person, but I bet it kicks @ss! I kinda wanted that exhaust too, but was way to impatient to deal with the lead time.
I got back under the car this evening and checked the tension on the 3 botls that connect the exhaust to the cat. I was able to get them a bit tighter and the drone RPM range has reduce a great deal. I guess attempting the install with a fractured collarbone on my dominant arm wasn't the best idea ever...
Tomorrow I'll stop by a shop or have a buddy triple check the tensions just to make sure that the two pieces are being held together properly.

I just put a T1R 63 on and over the past several days the drone has gone down, probably due to the the soft metal gaskets heating up and expanding. So maybe your's will get better as well.
I'll post some pics of my install later.
